Who we are

Bharani Traders is a licensed e-waste and second-hand electronics buyer in Chennai, India. These terms cover your use of www.bharanitraders.in. By using the site, you accept them.

Prices are estimates

The ranges shown on this website — including in the "What could your item fetch?" section — are indicative only. They are there to give you a rough sense of what your item might be worth. They are not a quote, an offer, or a promise to pay any particular amount.

A real price depends on the actual condition, age, specification, working state and, for scrap, the weight of what you have, plus the market rate on the day. We confirm the price when we see the item. You are free to decline at that point, and we will not charge you anything for the visit.

Quotes and pickup

• Anything we tell you before seeing the item is an estimate based on your description.
• Doorstep pickup is free within Chennai. We do not currently operate outside Chennai.
• We may decline an item, for example if it is not something we handle or the condition is not as described.
• Payment is made when we collect the item and both sides have agreed the price.

Selling to us

When you sell us an item, you are confirming that it is yours to sell, or that you are authorised to sell it, and that it is not stolen, leased, or subject to anyone else's claim.

For office and bulk clearances, we assume the person dealing with us has their organisation's authority to dispose of the equipment.

Wipe your data before you hand anything over

Please take this one seriously. Laptops, desktops, phones and hard drives hold personal data — photos, documents, saved passwords, banking apps. Before you hand a device to us or to anyone else:

• Back up anything you want to keep.
• Sign out of your accounts, and turn off device locks and activation locks.
• Do a full factory reset, or remove the storage drive and keep it.

We will wipe or destroy storage as part of our own process, and for office clearances we can provide documentation. But once a device leaves your hands you are relying on someone else, so the safest thing is always to clear it yourself first. We cannot accept responsibility for data left on a device you have handed over.

E-waste handling

We are a licensed buyer and dispose of what we collect through proper e-waste channels. Where you need documentation for compliance — typically offices clearing IT equipment — tell us up front and we will arrange it.

Using this website

You are welcome to use this site to learn about us and get in touch. Please do not attempt to disrupt it, copy it wholesale, or use it to send us anything unlawful. Content, images and layout on this site belong to us or are licensed to us.

Accuracy

We keep this site as accurate as we can, but we do not guarantee that everything on it is complete or current at all times, and it is provided as-is. Item lists, service areas and price ranges change.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website, including anything lost by relying on an estimated price rather than a confirmed one. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu have jurisdiction.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
