Who we are

Bharani Traders is a licensed e-waste and second-hand electronics buyer operating in Chennai, India. This policy covers the website www.bharanitraders.in.

What we do not do

So it is clear, and because a lot of privacy policies imply otherwise:

• We have no server or database that stores your details.
• There is no account to create and no password to set.
• We do not have a mailing list and will not add you to one.
• We do not sell, rent or trade anyone's personal information.
• Nothing you type into this website is uploaded to us by the website itself.

Cookies and measurement

This is the part that genuinely does collect data, and it happens when the page loads — before you contact us at all.

Google Ads

We advertise on Google. Every page carries Google's tag, which sets cookies in your browser (such as _gcl_au) and reads the click identifier Google adds to the address when you arrive from one of our ads. This is how we learn that an ad led to someone getting in touch, so we do not keep paying for ads that bring no work. It tells us that an ad worked. It does not tell us who you are.

When you tap a Call or WhatsApp button on this site, we record that the tap happened and send that fact to Google Ads as a conversion. We send the fact of the tap. We do not send your name, your number, or anything you typed.

Vercel Web Analytics

Our host, Vercel, provides basic traffic analytics: which pages get visited, and roughly where visitors come from. We use it to see which parts of the site are worth keeping.

Turning it off

• Your browser settings can block or clear cookies for this site at any time.
• Google's own ad settings are at myadcenter.google.com.
• Blocking these cookies does not stop you using the site. Every button still works.

The quote form

The form on our homepage asks for your name and, optionally, your phone number, address and notes. Here is exactly what happens to it.

The form does not send anything to us. It assembles what you typed into a WhatsApp message inside your own browser and opens WhatsApp with that message ready to go. Nothing reaches us until you press send in WhatsApp. If you close the tab at that point, we never see any of it.

The form does not ask for photos and has no upload of any kind. If you want to show us the item, you send the photos yourself in the WhatsApp chat, the same as any other message — they never pass through this website.

When you call or message us

If you phone us, your number shows up in our phone the way it would for any business you call. If you message us on WhatsApp, we receive whatever you chose to send, and that conversation sits in WhatsApp.

We keep those messages for as long as we need them to do the job — quote the item, arrange the pickup, and settle payment — and for our own records afterwards. We do not copy them into any other system.

WhatsApp is run by Meta, not by us. Your messages are governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy as well as this one. If you would rather not use WhatsApp, just call us instead.

Who else is involved

We do not pass your information to anyone else, other than where we are required to by law or by the e-waste documentation we are obliged to maintain.

What you can ask us for

Because the only thing we hold is our conversation with you, your options are simple. Cookies are in your hands, through your browser and Google's ad settings above.

Children

This site is meant for adults selling their own household or office equipment. It is not directed at children.

Changes

If we change how any of this works, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
